Our Story: From the Southern Wilderness to the Coral Coast

Our journey started a long way from the warm sand and salty sea breezes of Queensland.

I grew up surrounded by the wild, rugged beauty of Tasmania. It’s a place where nature is raw, grounded, and impossible to ignore.

Like many, the pull of the big city eventually called me away, and I traded quiet coastal air for the fast-paced rush of city life. But deep down, the soul of a small-town coastal kid never really fades.

A few years ago, I followed my heart up north for love. Stepping onto the Coral Coast of the Bundaberg Region, I instantly knew I was back where I belonged.

The easygoing energy, the footprints in the sand, the friendly small-town waves—it felt like coming home, just a whole lot warmer!

Coral Coast Candle Co was born right here in our coastal workshop out of a desire to capture that exact feeling: the transition from the busy, cluttered rush of city life to the slow, sun-kissed rhythm of the beach.

Every single candle we make is hand-poured in small batches right here on the coast. We wanted our candles to reflect the practical, relaxed lifestyle of the casual beachgoer. That is why we use a premium artisan wax blend for an exceptional scent throw, dye our wax in vibrant coastal colours, and finish each clear glass jar with a sustainable, natural bamboo lid.
